Glamping in the USA

At Latitude we pride ourselves in being on the forefront of seeking out unique travel products throughout the globe.  We are excited to share a relatively new offering by the Hilton hotel brand, the “Hilton Autocamp”, that appeals to us personally as adventure travelers and nature lovers.  While we normally promote more exotic locations, we think it is a worthy option to offer our friends and international guests to consider for your domestic travel.  We, ourselves, are exploring it for our annual family vacation.

AutoCamp is, or soon will be, offering 8 popular destinations where glamping is the theme, offering custom Airstreams, cabins, and luxury tents in scenic locations near national parks and beaches across America.

These 8 camps have a number of similar features- a club house, at least one restaurant, and the aforementioned accommodation types .

The comfortable Airstream suites, each feature a sitting room, kitchenette, and private bathroom.  The bedroom has a queen bed with high thread count linens beneath a panoramic window, and the galley sofa converts into a double bed.  Each Airstream has a modern bathroom with a walk-in rain shower and spacious vanity, a kitchenette with mini refrigerator, microwave and a coffee/tea station.  The campers also are air conditioned, have a work area and LCD TV.  Bookings are for a minimum of two nights’ stay and include Wifi, onsite parking and EV charging.  Most locations have pools and pool towels, and a private firepit as well.

The tented accommodations offer king and queen sized beds and a convertible sofa bed, but without the kitchenette and en suite bathroom.  The tents have heaters, electric blankets and a mini fridge and kettle.  The beds have mosquito netting, a full-length mirror and clothing racks.  Each has a firepit as well and guests can use the bathroom facilities and the organic bathroom amenities provided in the club house.  A tent can also be combined with an Airstream as a complete camp set up for a family with shared bathroom, kitchenette, fire bit and grill.

A third option is the Classic Cabins, which offer modern accommodations with a private bedroom, a well-equipped kitchen, and a living area, ensuring a comfortable and private stay.  The bedroom features a queen bed under a panoramic window and ample wardrobe space, while the living area includes a sofa that folds into a double bed and a kitchen with a convection stovetop.  The private bathroom has a walk in rain shower, and each cabin has a patio and a firepit.

All the accommodations also feature private outdoor grills, complemented by essential cookware and dining utensils for a seamless outdoor cooking experience.  Each offers complimentary breakfast at the Clubhouse each morning.

The Auto Camps exist in 8 locations with the following number of “rooms” accommodating 2-6 individuals depending on the size of the selection (basic and premium options):
